company licensed to transact business in forty-two states. The Company is not licensed

in the states of Alaska, California, Hawaii, Louisiana, Massachusetts, New Hampshire,

New Jersey, North Carolina and the District of Columbia.

DAIRYLANDINSURANCE  Company is authorized to sell private passenger automobile and motorcycle insurance in the state of Colorado. DAIRYLANDINSURANCE Company's underwriting department performs the non-standard auto underwriting function for the Company and is based in Stevens Point, Wisconsin.

The Company markets its products in Colorado through independent agents located in 426 retail locations* in the state. A multi-state regional claims operation is maintained in

Phoenix, Arizona.

In 1998 the Dairyland's operations in Colorado represented a 0.37%  marketshare of the auto insurance market, with direct premiums totaling $7,519,000**. During the examination period, the Company wrote 9503*auto new business applications. The Company's private passenger auto retention ratio was 34.8%* for the examination period.
